Matt Dunn SCC Ranger outlined the procedures for lodging Barking Dog complaints with SCC.
In answer to a question from the floor Matt stressed that all complaints are treated as confidential and the complainant's details are not released by the SCC.

Kylie Penn - Shoalhaven Heads Public School Edible Garden Programme Co-Coordinator
This is to be introduced in Term 3. All classes are to have their own garden and will have one lesson per week which will be fully integrated into the school curriculum.
Community help is being sought in terms of funding and volunteers to assist the children in their gardens.

Neighbourhood Watch
Police Report Senior Constable Paul Nancekivell was not able to be present at the meeting. However he did pass on that Anzac Day proceeded without Incident at Shoalhaven Heads this year.

Kevin Sullivan from Holiday Haven Caravan Parks reported back that the Shoalhaven Heads pool is on Crown Land and is the SCC's responsibility to maintain.

Report of the Shoalhaven Heads Chamber of Commerce and Tourism
- A-L O'Connor was not present and no report was tabled.

Shoalhaven Heads Community Forum Bushcare Report
Shoalhaven Heads Group is working on Jerry Bailey Reserve & the dunes removing lantana, bitou, asparagus &, sad to say, Madeira vine. Madeira vine is a real problem near Broughton Creek at Berry & is now being sighted in Shoalhaven Heads as a garden refuse escapee. Residents are reminded not to throw garden refuse in the bush as it becomes a pest & is hard to contain. A grant has been received from SRCA & SCC to remove dead & dangerous coral trees at the end of River Rd. River Rd Group are doing maintenance & preparing to plant native seedlings. Coolangatta Mountain Group are checking regrowth & had a letter box drop inviting residents to see what they have achieved on Sunday 16th May at 1:00pm at the end of Roxborough Rd. Golfers Group are planting a wildlife corridor & checking regrowth.

Report of the Shoalhaven Heads Community and Progress Association.
John Dogterom summarised Council reports and advised that one DA Application had been received by SCC. Also The Heads Holiday Haven Park has received funding for the installation of a Jumping Pillow at the park. $33.8 million has also been allocated by the Federal and State governments towards the new Regional Cancer Care Centre to be built next to the Shoalhaven District Hospital.

Men's Shed Report -
Trevor Aspin advised that the extension is going well. The roof is on and the cladding done.
The recent visitors from Clelland Lodge men's group are to become associate members of the SH Men's Shed.

Shoalhaven Heads Community Centre Report -
Trevor Aspin noted that council are to replace the path from the footpath to the front door with a new concrete footpath. He has also received a letter confirming the funding for the new blinds.

Curtis Park Arboretum
Roger Tilley reported that Lila Sawko and Glen visited from the SCC to view arboretum and to discuss future plans for it. Seats have been installed. A brochure has been designed to act as a guide for visitors to allow them to identify plants and trees in the Arboretum. Future plans include brick edging and a possible water feature. A working bee will be coming up. Emergency Evacuation Committee
Ron Prowse reported that all survey respondents have now been interviewed. It is clear that the committee's activities have raised awareness in the community. It is now proposed to disband the committee as the major bushfire evacuation planning has been achieved. A new committee is proposed to handle the tsunami warning procedures etc. Ron thanked all the committee members for their hard work.

General Business 1 Shoalhaven Medal - looking for nominations. Trevor Aspin to co-ordinate this.
2 Ron Prowse proposed the establishment of the Tsunami Warning Committee.
Roger Tilley was elected Chairman with Ron Prowse a committee member. Others are sought.
It was also moved that this committee is able to act on behalf of the SH Community Forum in their duties to establish guidelines etc for the evacuations procedures needed in the event of a tsunami. Moved Terry Lillee, sec Trevor Aspin.

3 President Noel Schneider spoke on the following:
Morning Tea and presentation to be held on 10 May for Ruth Cave as token of appreciation for her community work in SH.
The Fire Mitigation Officer has advised that 100 additional hours has been allocated to the hazard reduction along the creek.
Clean Up Graffiti Day was held on May 2nd.
The rabbit baiting programme is to start in spring.
The fence has been replaced at the end of River Road to stop access to the sand dunes by vehicles.
Noel also mentioned the importance of keeping the SH Community Forum non - political in light of future elections.
