Neighbourhood Watch Police Report Presented by Senior Constable Paul Nancekevill
" Incidents over the past month have included:
o Bins knocked over.
o Motor Vehicle broken into.
o Motor vehicle number plates stolen.
o Cars driving in a dangerous manner.
o Break and enters at local business and the sewerage plant.
o Equipment stolen from a boat.
" A reminder not to leave valuables in motor vehicles, including wallets and computer equipment.

Gareth Ward
Councillor Gareth Ward addressed the meeting discussing the following:
" The extension of comment on the proposed McIntosh & Staple Sts development to 18 March 2011.
o SCC is also looking at the asbestos issue in the existing buildings on the site.
o Following the community discussion, Councillor Ward will not support the development application.
" SCC has approved $1000 for the Arboretum signage.
" Added signage in the Bird sanctuary areas has been installed.
" Local Environment Plan - is on exhibiton to the public.
" Public is being asked to comment on the North Nowra link road. There are 3 proposals up for discussion.
" $65000 grant for the pontoon in Shoalhaven River has been received.
" With regard to the upcoming NSW election, the liberals will make a commitment for $50000 for the upgrade of the Curtis Park toilet block, and an additional 117 car spaces in the car park of Shoalhaven Hospital..
" Has launched a petition to call on SCC to work with the NSW government to open the river at Shoalhaven Heads.
" Costs are being attained for the cycleway between Berry/ Gerroa and Shoalhaven Heads.

Bushcare Report: Shoalhaven Heads Community Forum - Noel Schneider reported that
Work has been carried out at River Rd, and between the surf club and caravan park.. Clean up Australia Day will be held on the 6th March 2011. A meeting will be held on 3 March with Corrective Services re volunteer help from inmates of the Nowra Gaol

Excess money from the grant for the electric blinds was used to replace all toilet cisterns with dual flush systems which will be water saving and much more efficient.

A vegetation report now needs to be done, Expected cost is $5000.
A fundraiser is to be held on 6 March with funds to go to a Qld golf club who suffered damaged during recent floods

Congratulations were given to the BMX fundraiser was organised by Jay O'Mara and raised $2500 for the Queensland flood appeal.
2 After discussion a motion was moved:
" That the bus stop on Shoalhaven Heads Rd outside the SHBRC be moved further along to the western end of the SHBRC."

3. The resealing of the intersection of Mathew St and Shoalhaven Heads Rd has been put to SCC to include in the next budget.

5. SCC is seeking members for the riverfront advisory group.
6. Discussion on the opening of the river petition, Forum is to try to source report previously done on this issue which outlined environmental and other issues.
7. After discussion a motion was moved:
" The Shoalhaven Heads Forum apply to the SHBRC0 for a CDES grant to help with the costs of running the monthly meetings."
