Deputy Mayor Gareth Ward addressed the meeting discussing the following:
" Adopted Management Plan - $1.5 million approved for the upgrade of Coolangatta Road. This will cover about 8k with the worst section being done first.
" Shoalhaven Heads Holiday Haven - pool going ahead. Lost vote 5 to 6 at Council meeting.
" Retirement Village at Shoalhaven Heads - 100% supportive of project. Main issue is zoning of land which is a State issue.
" CCTV Cameras - to be heard at local court in Nowra.
" Council meeting outside of Council - meeting at Ulladulla very successful.
" Meeting at Bomaderry High School for young people to discuss employment, education and training - date to be confirmed.
" Linear Accelerator - all money raised from local appeals will be used for providing accommodation. Trying to find out when Federal Government funding will become available.
" Golf Club - disappointed by the way application for the 3 holes has been handled with ongoing requests for impact studies.
Gareth advised that he would not be standing as Deputy Mayor and thanked the community for the support he has received and said that it had been a great privilege to serve in that position. He said he had learnt a great deal during his time as Deputy Mayor and would continue to serve the community as a Councillor.

General Business
1. Concerns over flooding, after heavy rain, of the area between the Soccer Club & Fire Station - Gareth Ward to look into.
2 Skateboard area - posts been removed which need to be replaced to stop cars getting into area - Gareth Ward to look into.
3 Need for better dog signs near the International & Domestic Airport especially now that the breeding season is coming up.
4 Main Road 92 - should be sealed up to Braidwood shortly.
5 Gareth Ward advised that there would be funding for Gerroa Road now that it is being used by heavy trucks, at times when the Princes Highway is closed, with funding from State funds for upgrade and maintenance although Council does have some obligation towards these funds.
6 Terry Lillie, President Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club, reported that he had received a lot of calls from concerned locals regarding DA application sent to residents. He had responded with clarification of actual area being applied for for the extra 3 holes. He said that the Club had spent in excess of $90,000 in reports for the Council and that they had planted close to 9,000 trees and shrubs. A committee had been formed to help raise money and had come up with some really good ideas for both the Club and other events which would involve the community. First planned activity will be a Car Boot Sale - date to be confirmed pending application and approval of a DA.
7 Peter Moate put forward a motion that the Shoalhaven Heads Community forum write a submission in support of the Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club Species Impact Statement, currently on public exhibition. Seconded: Dave Riddell. Carried.
